We are excited to invite you to the launch of
- the app-based walking tour “Life and Labour in the Inner Harbour,” and
- our Second Summer Season of research and community outreach.
From 9-3, friends and staff of SWIHHP will be available in Fluhrer Park to show you what the space was like when it was a rail yard complete with engine house, roundtable, and many sets of tracks. And before that — well, it was water! We will show you that too.
To get the app, go to the Apple or Android app stores and look for Kingston Walking Tours. One of the choices within that (free!) app is “Life and Labour in the Inner Harbour” — or “Vie et travail dans le secteur Inner Harbour.” Download it so you can view and listen to it out and about without using data.
See janeswalk.org/canada/kingston for info about the live walking tours we will run on May 7 in English (10 a.m.) and French (1:30 p.m.). Both tours start at Gate 1, Rogers K-Rock Centre. If you have the mobile app already, bring it along so you can look at its images and maps.
We look forward to seeing you!
— Laura, with Ronen, Scott, and Teresa (this summer’s swihhpers)
